Access Rockland County Website in 65 Languages
Rockland County further enhanced its recently updated web site with the addition of a translation feature. County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef announced on Friday a “Google Translate” feature has been added to make it even more user-friendly. The upgraded is part of an ongoing effort to make government more accessible to the residents of Rockland County. The new feature is located in the upper right hand corner of http://www.Rocklandgov.com, under the search function. When visitors click on the box, they have a choice of 65 languages the website can be translated into. They are listed alphabetically from Afrikaans to Yiddish.
Vanderhoef said the response so far has been positive.
“It’s a lot easier for residents to navigate to find information about County programs and services,” said Vanderhoef. “This new function allows the website to be translated into different languages to reach out to even more Rocklanders.”
