Iranian translator Abuzar Karami has finished translating “Think and Grow Rich” into Persian. The book was first translated and released in Iran some 50 years ago.
IBNA: Abuzar Karami has finished translating several books in the field of psychology including “Think and Grow Rich” which is a significant book.

“Think and Grow Rich” is a 1937 motivational personal development and self-help book written by Napoleon Hill and inspired by a suggestion from Scottish-American businessman Andrew Carnegie. While the title implies that this book deals only with how to get rich, the author explains that the philosophy taught in the book can be used to help people succeed in all lines of work and to do or be almost anything they want.

The book was first published in 1937 during the Great Depression. At the time of Hill's death in 1970, Think and Grow Rich had sold more than 70 million copies worldwide.

It remains the biggest seller of Napoleon Hill's books - a perennial best-seller after 70 years (BusinessWeek Magazine's Best-Seller List ranked Think and Grow Rich as the sixth best-selling paperback business book 70 years after it was first published). Think and Grow Rich is listed in John C. Maxwell's A Lifetime "Must Read" Books List.

The book will be published in Iran by Amuzgar Kherad.

Iranian translator of children’s books Mahboubeh Najaf-khani has prepared her newest translation for children entitled “Scaredy Squirrel”.

TEHRAN -- Iranian scholar Abolfazl Horri is busy translating the book “Coherence in the Quran”, written by Pakistani scholar Mustansir Mir, from English into Persian.

The book, to be released by Hekmat Publications after the translation is complete, reviews the coherence of the Quran, giving a response to those who believe the Holy Quran lacks coherence.

“Some Orientalists claim the Quran is void of any coherence since it took 23 years to be sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (S). Scottish historian Thomas Carlyle tried to say that 23 years is a long time for a book to preserve the coherence in its verses,” Horri told the Persian service of MNA on Saturday.

The first chapter follows the opinions of ulema and interpreters of early Islam about the issue of coherence, and the second chapter covers the idea of order, Horri said.

Chapters three and four studies the methods and interpretations by eminent world scholars such as Amin Ahsan Islahi (1904–1997), the Pakistani Muslim scholar, famous for his Urdu exegeses of Quran.

TEHRAN – Iranian translator Nastaran Nosratzadegan is currently busy doing an English translation of a selection from the Shahnameh (Book of Kings), the epic masterpiece of Persian poet Ferdowsi.

The poems, which narrate popular stories from the Shahnameh, have been selected for translation, she said in a press release on Friday.

“I am trying to retain the measure of the verses in English,” she added.

Nosratzadegan also plans to begin translating some poems and stories from Rumi’s Masnavi-e Manavi into English in the near future.

According some historical sources on Persian literature, Ferdowsi spent 30 years writing the Shahnameh.

Translated into Persian by Ali Hodavand, Things Fall Apart, a novel by Chinua Achebe has been released in Iran.

THE classic novel, Things Fall Apart by the master novelist, Prof. Chinua Achebe, which was published in 1958, is seen as the archetypal modern African novel in English, and one of the first African novels written in English to receive global critical acclaim.

It is a staple book in schools throughout Africa and widely read and studied in English-speaking countries around the world. The title of the novel comes from William Butler Yeats’s poem, “The Second Coming”.

The novel depicts the life of Okonkwo, a leader and local wrestling champion in Umuofia—one of a fictional group of nine villages in Nigeria, inhabited by the Igbo people (archaically, and in the novel, “Ibo”). It focuses on his family and personal history, the customs and society of the Igbo, and the influence of British colonialism and Christian missionaries on the Igbo community during the late nineteenth century.

Authored by Patricia Waugh, Metafiction: The Theory and Practice of Self-Conscious Fiction has been recently translated into Persian by Shahryar Vaghfipur. The book assesses metafiction in detail and provides novel definitions by the author.
