The popular audio recording service Audioboo announced today that they will now be called audioBoom. You do not need to create a new account in order to continue using the service. Just as before you can create audio recordings and match them to pictures online or through the audioBoom Android and iOS apps.

Audioboo and Thinglink are two services that I've introduced a lot of teachers to over the last couple years. If you're unfamiliar with these two tools, Audioboo is a service for creating short audio messages and Thinglink is a tool for creating interactive images. You can now use the two services together. After recording an Audioboo message you can now insert it into a Thinglink image.

Audioboo es una estupenda herramienta 2.0 para alojar audios en internet y poder compartirlos en nuestros blogs o páginas web. El uso de Audioboo es similar a otros servicios de la web 2.0: Nos registramos como usuarios creando una cuenta gratuita, hacemos clic en "Record/UploadBoo" subimos el archivo de audio que queremos alojar (máximo de 3 minutos) o realizamos una grabación online, añadimos título y una imagen representativa y, por último, lo publicamos.

This weeks ThingLink Teacher Challenged asked participants to focus on audio as they design lessons. We introduced Audioboo as an integrated web based platform and app that easily captures and collects audio for use. The goal of this challenge is to use ThingLink to design a multimedia rich learning experiences to support the diverse needs of all learners.
