We also just got pointed to THIS VIDEO BELOW from the IWA Show Airsoft Meetup by our media buddies at AIRSOFT DB from Sweden! AND, in response to questions about how the long-awaited F-1 differs from other products, such as the JACK system, in THIS THREAD on their FB Fan Page, P-Star says…

“JACK uses a small solenoid for nozzle movement only. The position of the nozzle within JACK is what allows or prevents air from flowing down the nozzle.

Like JACK, the solenoid in F1 also controls nozzle movement and the nozzle position also controls firing air, but only for one of the two firing stages. In the two-stage system the nozzle travels a certain distance, then begins to allow airflow through the bore. After traveling completely a secondary firing port opens to allow increased flow. This second stage is made possible by an integral flow control system which also has the added benefit of allowing the optimal nozzle speed in each direction. The forward speed of the nozzle can be restricted without limiting the rearward speed of the nozzle….”

Since January 2, 2012, as we made the transition to SCOOP.IT from our former WP.COM based news and information site (Still out there, BTW, for you ‘cats who want to see how we did it in the ‘old days…and want a deeper dive into near-history!)

The growth slowed somewhat with changes in how SCOOP.IT works behind-the-curtain, and also with our push to transition to the place most of you go for news every day, Thumpy’s newer WordPress website. All the links to our social channels go back there every day, but still the view-counts on the 3D News at SCOOP.IT help us get out the word in the way YOU ALL want to receive it. It seems like we should have already hit a million. And in truth, if you put all our views and links together, we are well into SEVERAL Million across all socials, like Instagram, Facebook and the FB Fan Page, Twitter, YouTube,Tumblr… But hitting this goal has been a grind and way tougher than doing it in other places. But, we are THERE!

Just think of THUMPY’S as that old signpost tacked to the tree out in the country. There are MANY MANY details under wraps on the super-secret MTO “magnetic” system guns still in testing by BO Manufacture in France. But, the link below to their Facebook page has cracked the lid open a little more, as player “Gary Wyborn” (who seems to be based out of the UK and plays in the EU a bit) is getting official on-the-record answers to questions a lot of guys are asking.

We have previously reported that BO Manufacture has shown off prototypes at recent shows in the EU. Still, this publicity-secrecy gig’ seems more like an espionage mission into-the-heart of darkness than it probably needs to be. Come on. Protect your product with legal/trademark and trade dress/patent and lets gets these rolling off the production lines so we can all judge for ourselves…

You know your little hobby has made the ‘big time’ when the academics and scholars start to inform, dissect, categorize, reflect on, title and “study” what’s happening with the participant-humans. Specifically, when it “involves the children.”

Take, for example…BOY CULTURE: An Encyclopedia, which places “GUNS” and a few paragraphs in CHAPTER 6: “BAD” Boys.

Certainly a scholarly tome, posted in e-book format for accessibility and ease-of-editing as new information becomes available, this one is edited by…well…as diverse a group of individuals as you might imagine. But the WHO is not as important as the WHY...."
