Thumpy's 3D House of Airsoft™ @ Scoop.it

OK, apparently there WAS a beginning of how the Airsoft/BB-Pellet Gun/Paintball-Killing House Bill 3476 came to be.  What appeared to be a fast-track of the bill through the Statehouse on Beacon Hill was derailed and send back to committee on Wednesday, partly through the efforts of pro-gun groups including Gun Owners Action League/GOAL…and a bunch of our fellow-‘softers up-North, SISU MILSIM & ROB from FUBAR Airsoft and his guys included.

But, the fast-track-trickery DID have some ‘sunlight’ that was missed in the big run-up to this week’s continuing drama….in a hearing covered back on January 7th by WBZ-TV in Boston.  And, we finally get to see and hear from the “proponents” of H-3476, including the bill’s sponsor…and Boston’s police commissioner BILL EVANS.  You remember…the guys who told people to stay indoors/shelter in place after the Marathon Bombings as they “kept Bostonians safe” by forcible armed WARRANTLESS SEARCHES of private homes and businesses in the aftermath of the Marathon Bombings.  Yea, do you trust them to protect your rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” in our current situation?  This “JOURNALISTIC HIT PIECE” VIDEO…where we never actually hear from an opponent, BTW!…is infuriating!

I kinda feel real sadzorz for the guys at retailers and import places in California…as they have to spend an extra amount of their time to spin up customers on this silly law.  But, this is what happens when you let politicians write bad law, don’t crush it with vigilance, and then reap the consequences.

NOTE TO PLAYERS: We have already seen some of you morons…yea, calling you out but NOT sharing your insanity…putting neon tape on your REAL STEEL GUNS to “show those guys in Sacramento…” Show them what, exactly?  That you are stupid and want to get shot?  That you were so intelligent to figure this out?  Please.  Don’t make it worse than it already is.

‘199 Stupid is 199-percent DEAD WRONG!  TREAT, NEVER, KEEP, KEEP is in full force-and-effect still.  “Rule of 4 Stupids” is still the prevailing rule-of-the-street.   Keep all your guns in gun bags/cases/boxes. DO NOT GO OUT IN PUBLIC with any airsoft gun unless it is in a controlled situation. Ever.

Saw this one over on the always-reliable AIRSOFT INTERNATIONAL FB Fan Channel…and wondered what ‘Softers around the world say about any attempt to combat terrorism by such a wrong-headed official idea as this. True…all of us have different levels of ‘official-dumb’ to navigate in our quest for BB warz…but, come on.  Do we let the terrorists win?

AIR STUPID NC become REAL STEEL STUPID in Beaufort County, North Carolina…and a pair of incidents from FLORIDA top the winners in the 2nd round this week!...

RESPECT is a two-way street, a broad avenue that you not only can drive up and down in your cheap little VW, “sporty” Acura or big, expensive Pagani Huayra…but from time to time, you might have to walk ACROSS that road with the rest of us “pedestrians.”  That’s when you discover that the road you pave does not stop at the end of your own driveway, even at 1 Hacker Way.

Writing All Lives Matter doesn’t make someone a racist.  It makes them race-agnostic.  Banning the use of your products (Facebook/Instagram…) for lawful purposes by the users (airsoft and milsim players, as well as law-abiding gun owners) makes you small, petty and controlling. And frankly, control is not what you should be about.  It is what makes you a Zuckerschmuck. Stop it.  Grow up.

Merlin seems to be on the right track with his thoughts, too….as are a lot of other guys commenting on the ‘webz. We need to be the good guys, shining the foregrip-mounted light of fair play on the morons who are hurting our little game. Air Stupids. Bad Sports and both cheaters and cheater-callers.  Mark Z. included.

Massachusetts’ proposed House Bill 3476 was heard in the Statehouse in Boston Wednesday afternoon, and was referred back to the state’s House Judiciary Committee.

What that means in a nutshell is that the proposed Airsoft/BB-Pellet Gun/Paintball and Sports Shooting KILLER LAW is STILL ALIVE, but NOT YET in a position to be voted on and then sent to the Governor.

We are waiting to pass on any video from Rob G. of FUBAR Airsoft or SISU MILSIM, who were part of the pro-Airsoft contingent of players and business owners in the Statehouse all day, trying to both get the message to supportive House Members AND coordinate with other groups opposed to the measure, including GOAL – the Gun Owners Action League in Mass…LINK HERE!
