Zeta Global, the data-driven marketing technology innovator whose SaaS-based marketing cloud helps leading brands acquire, retain and grow customer relationships, announced today that it has acquired Boomtrain, a machine learning driven marketing technology platform that uses artificial intelligence to drive personalised messaging across all digital touchpoints.

Boomtrain developed the first marketing technology platform with machine intelligence at its core, enabling brands to better understand and communicate with their customers. Launched in March 2014, the Boomtrain platform has gained significant traction, attracting more than 120 clients including leading media companies such as CBS and Dow Jones. Boomtrain's technology will become the personalisation engine within ZetaHub, the Gartner Magic Quadrant-rated digital marketing hub. Following the acquisition, Zeta will hold one of the largest machine learning patent portfolios in marketing technology.

Personalized notification platform Boomtrain announced today a new integration with Oracle’s Marketing Cloud that could make marketers’ lives a bit easier.

The integration provides a predictive personalization platform for email marketing through the Oracle Cloud’s B2C Responsys component, which enables marketers to conduct campaigns via emails, website ads, text messages or social media ads.

Boomtrain specializes in machine learning-based personalization for email and push notifications, and this is the first machine learning solution for Responsys. Machine learning uses pattern recognition to learn from previous examples, thus improving effectiveness as it acquires more data — without being specifically programmed for the improvements.

Marketo already captures lots of customer data while hosting website and email marketing campaigns. Boomtrain can use elements of that data to predict the best piece of content to next show specific consumers.

For customers that use both Marketo and Boomtrain, the targeted content can be delivered via email or on-website campaigns managed through the Marketo platform.

Boomtrain now becomes available through the Marketo LaunchPoint partner marketplace.
