For principals and other school leaders & administrators, this list of videos includes advice and tips on edtech leadership strategies.
Bryan Kay's curator insight, October 22, 2015 8:38 PM

I chose this resource to inform me about the latest technology trends.

Technology is ever changing and in today's schools technology can be used to enhance the learning of every student. Technology should not, however be used to replace teaching. Too many educators today see technology as a way to keep students busy, This should not be how technology is utilized.

As a future leader, it is imperative that I provide opportunities for teachers to experiment and use technology in a productive way. In my school, teachers use technology for research, math, and google classroom.

So many definitions of leadership – here are a few . . .

Dr. Susan Bainbridge's insight:

That the job of school leaders is ‘primarily about enhancing the skills of knowledge of people in the organization, creating common culture of expectations around the use of those skills and knowledge, holding the various pieces of the organization together in a productive relationship with each other, and holding individuals accountable for their contributions to the collective result. ~ Building a New Structure for School Leadership, Richard F. Alexander Daron's curator insight, October 15, 2017 11:31 AM

I chose this resource because similar to student achievement gaps, there are definitely gaps in educational technology. In my college program, we didn't learn much about how to use technology in our schools.. I hope that this article will help us learn and understand that we still have so much work to do in preparing our new teachers and administrators with ways that they can use technology to help benefit them in their schools and classrooms.
