This is a very informative post on the Padlet tool. There are so many features offered on Padlet. The post highlights great ideas from teachers in all sorts of situations. As a pre-service teacher, finding these types of posts are fantastic. I really love the idea of the sandbox Padlet and the feature that allows the teacher to turn the Padlet off while not at school so no discriminative words can be posted.

We are wired to connect what we are doing and where we are to other things we know. It is a survival thing - this means that real world learning has an easier time embedding in our brain and is connected to more parts of our brain - so will stay longer. Learning is easier when it comes "stamped' in time and space and context and relevance.
