Parcours d’achat des Français : le magasin séduit toujours, mais ses défauts deviennent rédhibitoires
Une étude Ifop pour Wincor Nixdorf, qui s’intéresse aux parcours d’achats des français à l’heure du multi canal, rappelle que, pour 62% des Français, le magasin reste le premier lieu d’achat. Plusieurs résultats interpellent : si Internet constitue la première source d’informations préalable à l’achat, les clients recourant pour moitié à l’Internet mobile, plusieurs facteurs rendent l’expérience « in store » négative, en comparaison du e-commerce. Des vendeurs peu disponibles ou non experts ; une attente jugée excessive en caisses ; ou un produit absent des rayons : tous ces points détournent les clients des magasins. Les défauts du e-commerce sont eux aussi pointés : frais de livraison excessifs ; impossibilité d’essayer un produit ; et difficulté à retourner un article commandé en ligne sont les principaux freins évoqués à l’achat en ligne.
Les nouvelles technologies ont révolutionné le processus d’achat, à commencer par la recherche d'information en amont, près de la moitié des Français consultent Internet avant achat, que ce soit sur des sites (46%) ou sur les réseaux sociaux (6%).
Malgré le ROPO le magasin reste pour 62% des français le premier lieu d'achat, mais les consommateurs sont désormais capables de comparer leurs expériences d'achat par canaux ( e-commerce / magasin) L'expérience in store se doit d'être améliorée au plus vite afin de garder sa primauté aux yeux du shopper car les points de frictions restent nombreux .. le rôle des équipes de vente est une fois de plus mis en avant ...

Comparaison très instructive des parcours et rebonds entre magasin et web avec un focus sur les causes d'abandon et le comportement en cas d'indisponibilité du produit (en passant bravo pour l'étude et l'infographie !)
"L’étude montre aussi à quel point les clients critiquent chaque canal d’achat en fonction des qualités de l’autre monde. En magasin, les clients sollicitent plus que tout un vendeur (90% vs 80% en 2012). La non-disponibilité de celui-ci ou son manque d’expertise deviennent logiquement un repoussoir, imposant aussi de basculer dans une logique de vendeur « expert », doué en relationnel, et connecté. L’indisponibilité d’un produit, enfin, provoque davantage qu’auparavant un report sur le web (32%) et son offre pléthorique, qu’un achat dans un autre magasin"
