Automatic Arduino based plant watering system

Watering system for my flowers is advanced version of flotcher that I made some time ago. Very simple Arduino based project but very effective and human free - that's what I like. If I can create stuff that will do boring stuff instead of me that's always cool. And I will not disturb those birds while watering my tomatos on balcony. Un inconveniente que surgió con la captura de las imágenes desde la cámara IP es la fecha y hora de la cámara, hasta el momento no encontré manera de setear la fecha correcta, por ende en todas las imágenes la marca de agua con la fecha y hora es incorrecta.

In this project i will be demonstrating Automatic Irrigation System with integrated temperature sensor which irrigates or waters your plants automatically. This system is best suited for drip irrigation technique.

Moisture sensor is used to read the Moisture content of the soil. The LM35Temperature Sensor reads the ambient temperature.

This System will help you to irrigate your backyard Garden or your Indoor Garden automatically and you need not worry about watering your favorite plants in your busy schedule.

An LCD is provided to monitor the Soil Status, Ambient Temperature and Status of Water supply(Water Pump).

Arduino UNO is the brain of this system and all the sensors and display devices are controlled by it.

Plants require really low maintenance and can be left for days without supervision but our long trips extending over a week or 2 can be detrimental for the health of plants due to the lack of moisture in the soil. In such situations, the plant may wither or die due to the absence of proper watering. In order to solve this problem, in this project, we are making an Automatic Irrigation System with an Arduino Uno which will irrigate your plants automatically and keep them healthy even when you are out of the town for weeks or months. In this project, a Moisture sensor will be used to maintain the optimum level of moisture for your plants. This system can be implemented, both for your garden or for your Indoor plants thus taking care of your leafy pets when you are away.

We also build low cost IoT based Soil Moisture Monitoring Device, you can check out the demonstration video given below.

In this smart irrigation system, we took a soil moisture sensor which can sense the Moisture in the soil. Soil moisture sensor gives some value to the microcontroller which we use in the system for instructions. Soil sensor can give both value analog as well as digital. so we recommend using the analog value. because on the analog value you can calibrate the moisture level with the output device. for example, a soil moisture sensor gives the value 0 to 1023. so you can calibrate the sensor as your soil condition.  but on the digital output of the sensor, you can not calibrate the sensor by the code according to the soil moisture. there is a potentiometer to calibrate the sensor. for more accuracy use analog sensor.

Whenever we go out of town for few days, we always used to worry about our plants as they need water on regular basis. So here we are making Automatic Plant Irrigation System using Arduino, which automatically provides water to your plants and keep you updated by sending message to your cell phone.

In This Plant Watering SystemSoil Moisture Sensor checks the moisture level in the soil and if moisture level is low then Arduino switches On a water pump to provide water to the plant. Water pump gets automatically off when system finds enough moisture in the soil. Whenever system switched On or off the pump, a message is sent to the user via GSM module, updating the status of water pump and soil moisture. This system is very useful in Farms, gardens, home etc. This system is completely automated and there is no need for any human intervention.
