En el mercado podemos conseguir 3 tipos de sensores para medir distancias: los sensores ultrasónicos, los sensores láser y los sensores infrarrojos.

Cuando hablamos de sensores infrarrojos para medir distancias nos referimos a los sensores SHARP (conocidos así por su fabricante). Existe otro tipo de sensores IR utilizados para detectar objetos cercanos, pero no son buenos para calcular distancias, por lo que sólo nos enfocaremos en la línea de sensores SHARP.

I’ve got a bit of a different type of experiment going on in the workshop today, it’s a battle between two types of distance sensors. One of them uses lasers and is extremely small, and the other is our old friend the HC-SR04 which chirps out ultrasonic sound waves.
We’ll compare the performance of these sensors in the special DroneBot Workshop Distance Tester, constructed especially for this article and video!
