| tecno4 | Scoop.it

3 Ninja Circuit Analysis Tricks (+ bonus resistor tricks!)  | tecno4 | Scoop.it

In the last post concerning circuit analysis (Simple Circuit Analysis Techniques You Should Know) I went over some very basic but important techniques.

First, we had a quick over view of resistors in series, parallel, and series-parallel circuits. Then, we talked about Ohms Law. Finally, Kirchhoff’s Laws were introduced.

This time, I’m going to show you a few simple tricks for combining parallel resistors before I go into circuit analysis using some other very important (and slick) methods.

Simple Circuit Analysis Techniques You Should Know

Simple Circuit Analysis Techniques You Should Know | tecno4 | Scoop.it

The simple circuit analysis techniques we’ll cover in this post are basic, yet important.
Anyone can copy a circuit or project from the Internet or a book. But if you want to be able to design your own circuits, understand how things work, and be able to competently troubleshoot when things go wrong (and they will!) an understanding of the basics of electronics and electricity is crucial.

Common Tools for Troubleshooting and Exploring Circuits

Common Tools for Troubleshooting and Exploring Circuits | tecno4 | Scoop.it
As we dig into the world of electronics, one of the first questions to arise is "How do I test this?" Let’s take a look at some common test procedures and tools. In my world, testing takes one of two possible courses: either software or hardware and instrumentation, including use of a multimeter, oscilloscope and logic analyzer.
