My Pivot or Persevere Story
Last year I created one of the first crowdfunding cancer research websites (http://www.curecancerstarter.org) A project near and dear to my heart. I am a cancer survivor.The site is a partnership between me, Atlantic BT and 4 great cancer research centers. As hard as this realization was to face I became an anchor slowing progress down.
I was too passionate and connected. Thinking about CANCER everyday all day was getting HARD too. I faced a pivot or persevere moment. I decided the BEST course for CureCancerStarter.org was for me to do something else.
They may need to pivot several times, but removing my hand on the tiller meant they would step up and own the platform. I had to fire myself from something I loved for it to survive and flourish. OUCH!
