Users should now be familiar with – and wary of – this common bait-and-switch tactic. Clicking links without careful inspection, which can very easily be done by hovering your mouse cursor over them, is a bad habit. Always look and think twice before being tempted to click a link.
Also, do a little research on the legitimacy of tempting promos or offers so you can stay protected, use your common sense, and maintain a healthy dose of scepticism when online.
