Here you see some facts about how companies lack in security. Some points like file sharing and getting worms are a really big issue. If there is no protection against that the company may be in danger. If all people have about 3 devices and they arent protected, you cant stop this.

I think that people should pay more attention to this because there are more victims every day. Not only persons but also companies could get trouble with not paying attention to your data.

Im very afraid of losing data myself. I saw a commercial once that someone took over the identity of another person. I hope that people pay more attention and try to be more safe in the future.

Denial of service (DoS) and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks are increasingly common phenomena, used by a variety of actors—from activists to governments—to temporarily or indefinitely prevent a site from functioning efficiently. Often, the attack saturates the target with server requests designed to flood its bandwidth, leaving the server unable to respond to legitimate traffic.
This EFF guide aims to assist the owners of such websites by providing advice on choosing an appropriate webhost, as well as a guide to mirroring and backing-up their websites so that the content can be made available elsewhere even if their site is taken down by a DoS or DDoS attack.

While in this particular case the actual danger turned out to be non-existent, the fact that these devices can be hijacked and misused for malicious purposes is something that the manufacturers will have to think about very soon.
