Vally Lavender opened the latest iteration of her ValiumSL region to group members at the weekend. Once again designed by Dandy Warhlol (Terry Fotherington), the region this time takes us on a trip to the far east focused on Indonesia, but with hints of the broader region as well as a twist of Africa
Place profile "Sooth your soul in this lushly landscaped, Indo-Asian inspired, sanctuary for elephants and humans alike. [valium] group only allowed. Feel free to join group!"
Statement from Vally (Valium Lavender)
I came across the phrase ‘sacred spaces’ today and realized it is what is being created at ValiumSL, as we speak. The new project, Suaka, meaning sanctuary in Indonesian, truly is a sacred space for me.
Unfortunately, we all live in a real world that’s both astonishingly beautiful and horrifically cruel, and having a “sanctuary” can be as vital as breathing. I have found mine at Suaka and I hope you will feel a sense of peace when you visit here.
Without giving too much more away, let me just say that Terry Fotherington has designed and landscaped the full 20,000 prim region, in 1 week, a record breaking achievement for him. I did have the land mass terraformed and waves down before he arrived, but still it is amazing what he has done here. I am simply beyond happy. Terry is a creative genius. I simply told him I wanted to find my ‘zen happy’ place here. What he has given me is so much more. He gave me peace in SL.
I plan, if all goes well, to open Friday, July 9th. This region will be open ONLY to [valium] group members. There won’t be any Destination Guide or much publicity, not many parties, no big hype. Suaka will just be here for you when you need a sacred space to visit….your sanctuary."
