Second Life Destinations

Irgendwie habe ich es heute doch noch geschafft, wieder Fotos für meine Wintertour zu besorgen. Und das, obwohl ich mich bei meinem Vorgehen leicht verschätzt habe. Mein ursprünglicher Gedanke war, eine kleine Installation zu besuchen, die man schnell mit ein paar wenigen Bildern vorstellen kann. Also habe ich mir das Weihnachts-Setting von "StoryBrooke Gardens" ausgesucht. Von diesem Ort wüsste ich, dass es eine Plattform hoch über der bekannten Landschaft von Baja Norte ist

Doch meine Annahme, dass StoryBrooke Gardens eine kleine Plattform wäre, stellte sich dann als Irrtum heraus. Sie ist genauso groß, wie die komplette Region und sie ist so voll mit Szenen und Deko-Objekten, dass ich bei meiner Runde sicher nur die Hälfte gesehen habe. Dieser Überfluss ist auch schnell erklärt. Baja Norte ist ein Fullprim Sim und Betreiberin Lauren Bentham hat bereits das Upgrade auf 30.000 Prims vollzogen. Allerdings sind jetzt immer noch 12.700 Prims frei, was schier unglaublich erscheint, wenn man auch noch die Landschaft unten auf Meereshöhe kennt..

It’s that time when seasonal themes come to the fore; as the year starts to fade and the northern hemisphere feels the chill of winter; when snow, ice and frosted scenes slowly spread across Second Life, bringing with them the anticipation of Christmas and holidays, and a range of activities best served by that blanket of snow. As much as I love wandering Second Life and finding places to visit and explore, it is often the winter scenes that attract me the most. I’m not much into all the twinklies and stars and glitter and decorations; but winter in Second Life oft presents us with idyllic, picturesque and tranquil scenes of snow and winter, it helps those of us trapped in the dreary reality of rain, cold winds, sleet and slippery paths, to escape to an altogether more pleasing and comforting winter.

I happened to stumble across the coolest sim for exploring and photography! Storybrooke Gardens an amazing place filled with great photo opportunities and scenes!! Being a big kid myself, I fell in love with the different scenarios placed out here at the sim here! I found bunnies , bears, cats, and so many more cool things! Every time you turn around – something catches your eye! Lauren Bentham is the owner of this very cool sim – along with a variety of other sims which will be featured in more articles! This is definitely a sim to check out! They encourage you to share the pictures you take on their Flickr page – which is at the bottom of this article!
