LEA 20: "Light Thoughts 2" von Mario2 Helstein - Second Life

 LEA 20: "Light Thoughts 2" von Mario2 Helstein - Second Life | Second Life Destinations | Scoop.it

Mario2 Helstein's Light Thoughts at LEA20 is a work of pure brilliance, and a worthy successor to the 2015 Light Thoughts installation. This is a pulsating and vibrant work of art; everything is moving in harmony just as if it were a living organism. What impressed me the most was the brilliance of the colors and how they blend in unique ways. Each viewing angle brought a new perspective to the different layers of light-based forms. I highly recommend a visit.

Light Thoughts 2 - LEA 20 -  Second life - Thoughts of light and form

Artist Slatan Dryke drew my attention to Light Thoughts 2, a full region installation by Mario2 Helstein which is now open. "I really would recommend a visit, it's a jewel!" Slaton said, refusing to give away more. Intrigued, I hopped over to have a peek - and "jewel" is precisely the right description for this build,…

Light Thoughts 2 - LEA20 - Second life

I cannot even begin to describe this project, until I explain that NONE of the pictures, shown here, do it justice, because a major part of the art is moving light and textures, playing on and incorporated into the solid sculptures on the sim.
To any observer, this exhibit of lights and sculptures will be a wonderful adventure. To a seasoned Designer, Artist, Builder, there is an inner beauty that shines for them. This Artist, Mario2 Helstein, is an adept in the sciences of Geometry, architectural strength and chromatics, and even a fair amount of Psychology. I found his sculptures somehow fascinating, but it took a couple of days, looking at the photos, to discover why. Bless his PXL (Pneumatic Xtal Lattice) heart. He builds with triangles. His triangles have holes in the middle.
