Second Life Destinations

After having seen pictures of Binemist, a wonderful Nordic-themed island created by Bine Rodenberger, from Ziki and Honour on their blogs, I just had to go visit and have a look!
It did not dissapoint!

Biminist is a homestead region developed by Bine Rodenberger which has been designed to give something of a Nordic coastal feel for visitors: high cliffs, a narrow beach, windswept grasslands, and more.

It’s a great place for photographers – you can rez there, at least until somebody abuses the privilege and the owner shuts that down.

It’s also great for couples or people who want to find someplace to sit and ponder.

There are plenty of beach sims in Second Life, and most of those are tropical. At Binimist, designer Bine Rodenberger set out to create something different. "I wanted to create a place with a Nordic feel," she says in her introductory note.
