Concussions do not just take place in American Rules Football. the repetitive impact of a soccer ball to the head - heading - provides a significant trauma to the brain. Reasearch is taking place to determine the number of impacts that may lead to concussions or cognitive changes. This has consequences to the young soccer athlete that is playing in year-round soccer.
