MSN sees over 425 million visitors each month, many of whom come to get the news from some of the world’s most authoritative news organizations. And as the go-to platform for breaking news, legions of journalists and eyewitnesses turn to Twitter to get their stories out across the world.


MSN’s global web properties will now feature a Tweet as their breaking news banner.


Whether it’s LeBron James Tweeting his move to the Cleveland Cavaliers or breaking news from a trusted account on Twitter like the New York Times, MSN.com visitors will see news in the form of a Tweet.


Many of these Tweets will come from news organizations such as The New York Times (@nytimes), The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ), The Washington Post (@washingtonpost), @CNN, @AOL in the U.S.; Yomiuri Shimbun (@Yomiuri_Online) and Asahi Shimbun (@asahi) in Japan;@SkyNews, The Guardian (@guardian) and The Telegraph (@Telegraph) in the UK; @NDTV and Hindustan Times (@htTweets) in India; and @Le_Figaro and Le Monde (@lemondefr) in France. A marketer is the snake that whispers seducing words into the customer’s ears. Marketers want the sale to happen, and they couldn’t give a damn or two about building a better product or experience.


That’s what many people think. That’s what I thought. I won’t be optimizing anything, I will be exploiting human behaviours, writing articles for keywords, using power words and tricky color combinations.


In the end, it didn’t work out for me. Realizing that marketing is UX, and that it is a crucial part of my (and everybody’s) marketing efforts changed it for the better....
