- The amount of people who smoke and abuse marijuana in the past 12 years.
- Men, low income families and young people are more likely than anybody else to abuse marijuana.
- Those who consume and are dependent of marijuana are considered to have "Marijuana Use Disorder"
- Bias: There is a bias that marijuana is a bad thing and people shouldn't consume it. It is focused mainly on what the "abusers" of marijuana consume and what they do. There is a lot of focus on the "dangerous effects" that cannibis has and fails to mention many of the beneifts of marijuana.
- The intention of this article would have to be to inform. It did inform me on the increase of the use of marijuana. I think that they could have also written it in order to persuade people but it did not persuade me.
- Opinion: I do believe and I have noticed that the use of marijuana has gone up within the recent years. However, marijuana is also being legalized in many states for medical purposes and even recreational. Whether or not someone likes it or thinks it's a problem, it will most likely become legalized everywhere in my lifetime. It isn't as bad as alcohol is and people are perfectly fine with drinking a beer or 10 every night but forbid and look down upon those who may smoke a joint instead. I do believe that you can abuse marijuana but you can abuse anything and everything in this world. If it is to be recreationally legalized then it should be treated as if it's equal to alcohol and have the same laws.
