Some people will say the solution is more sensitive gym teachers, and some people will say the solution is to do away with gym as kids get older. All these discussions of course will just be stand in for the real discussion which is that gym class is another reason why you should take kids out of school.

A growing fitness problem among its students has driven a South Taranaki primary school to introduce a compulsory exercise regime before classes.
Tawhiti School, in Hawera, has added an extra 15 minutes to the school schedule and told parents they must have their children ready to take part in an exercise circuit by 8.50am.
