Emilie Weibel ! I met her in 2005, a chance! We were both at the show of Roy Ayers in Geneva, Parc La Grange. I was there to take pictures and she was there to enjoy the work of a musician who always inspired her.

Ou peut-être pas. Je n’y connais rien, en jazz. Donc, je m’attendais peut-être à de la musique, à un musicien, je ne sais pas. J’ai dû cliquer sur un des liens abrégés que les Twitteriens glissent parfois dans leur court message et qui vous envoient dans les endroits les plus inattendus de la toile. Là, je suis tombé sur une photo. Des photos. En noir blanc. En couleurs aussi. Des photos de musiciens de jazz. Des images profondes comme la nuit qui racontent la fabrication des notes, le mouvement des doigts sur les cordes, les yeux qui se ferment, les rides qui se creusent ou la poussière blanche sur la porte qui mène à la scène. Lorsque le concert est terminé, il sort regarder le monde. Il retient la lumière et le contre-jour. Il capture le mouvement d’une femme qui danse. Il regarde les paysages que les visages dessinent. Des visages, encore des visages qui aboutissent à cette image intitulée "96 Tears". Ces 96 larmes forment un petit ruisseau d’eau salée et teintée de Rimmel qui traverse la joue d’une femme pour s’arrêter à la base du menton.
