Henry Lee's curator insight,

Reddit is a hugely popular forum where users vote on user-generated content links, which can be news, music or pretty much anything. The more votes a particular link gets, the faster it climbs up the Reddit chart, which helps the link reach a broader audience by being more visible at the top of the chart. This is a great way for compelling news to be widely distributed and widely discussed. There are many engaging topics from the controversial (e.g., gun control) to the silly (e.g., funny things my dog does). This might be an easy way for people to get a sense of what public opinion is on a particular topic to help shape/inform their own views.

Interesting...Maybe in my age I've become more of a late adopter because despite a good friend's plea for my attention in 2012, I refused to jump on the Reddit bandwagon. Giving 10% to charity? I can respect that and maybe give Reddit another go...maybe :) |
