A metal asteroid worth $10,000 quadrillion, hurtling through space, makes construction of a massive orbital space station substantially cheaper. At least one company is already pitching a plan for a Von Braun Gateway Station housing some 1,500 people in orbit. The resources on the single asteroid, 16 Psyche, is not only enough to build the station, but to wipe out the U.S. national debt thousands of times over. 

The Goal of Von Braun Station is to build a dual-use station that is economically self-sustaining. Von Braun Station creation will also form a space construction industry with bots, pods, drones, construction arms, new space suits, and large-scale truss building machines designed for building large structures in space.

How can we make large structures in space? By using machines designed to create large frameworks in space we can build massive spaceports, fuel depots, and Mars colony transport vehicles. It all starts with frame building machines.

The Von Braun rotating space station will be the first commercial space construction project in history. It will be serviced by the SpaceX Starship and be designed to accommodate national space agency laboratories, billionaires who want to own property in space, and space tourists.

The Gateway Foundation looks at spaceport construction materials, launch services, and a spaceport design built in revenue generating blocks. 

To build the Gateway Spaceport we must first create a rigid framework, a structure. Before we can build any structures in space, there must first be a financial structure to grow from.
