With SpaceX completing a succeful test flight of their Dragon 2 capsule, they are almost ready to launch their first humans into space. But before that flight takes place, SpaceX will need to perform an in-flight abort test, which could get very explosive!

SpaceX is returning human spaceflight capabilities to the United States with one of the safest, most advanced systems ever built.

Welcome to Episode 16 of What about it!? In this episode, we'll take a look at SpaceX's Starhopper and its static fire test in BocaChica on Tuesday! NASA astronaut Anne McClain, David Saint-Jacques of the Canadian Space Agency, and Russian cosmonaut and Expedition 58 commander Oleg Kononenko welcomed SpaceX Demo-1 Crew Dragon on 3 March 2019. 

Introduction SpaceX is going to launch its first commercial crew mission, the company's founder, Elon Musk, tweeted this weekend.

Today we are going to talk about the SpaceX Starlink satellite launch and deployment. This was a record-breaking mission in several ways. But more than that we are going to talk about why this mission is such a big deal. SpaceX has this week sent up the first "operational" set of satellites into orbit. This amazing set of missions aims to create a super low latency telecommunications network. And how are they going to do this? Not by launching just these 60 satellites, which is amazing by itself, but by launching anywhere up to 42,000 satellites in several sophisticated orbital shells around the world. Then, of course, there have been plenty of Starship production news going on and even some more news about Crew Dragon.

SpaceX's Crew Dragon astronaut spacecraft successfully fired its launch-escape engines on the ground on Wednesday (Nov. 13) at the company's facilities at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida — paving the way for a high-altitude rocket escape test and demonstrating engineers have apparently fixed the problem that triggered an explosion during a similar ground firing in April. If that test flight goes well, SpaceX is then poised to fly humans on the Crew Dragon for the first time next year.

CREW DRAGON’S UPGRADED LAUNCH ESCAPE SYSTEM

SpaceX continues to make progress towards launching crews into orbit, but several critical tests remain before those plans can come to fruition. The company is developing the Crew Dragon spacecraft to transport crews to and from the International Space Station as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.
SpaceX has posted a video showing the static fire test of a pod of Crew Dragon SuperDraco abort thrusters, indicating that the complex system has been successfully redesigned and upgraded to fix the faults that caused a Dragon capsule to explode in April 2019.
The capsule, known as SpaceX Crew Dragon, is SpaceX’s spacecraft to carry as many as seven people to the International Space Station and more.

SpaceX is about to embark on a new frontier: sending people into space. Elon Musk’s space-faring company has made its name sending cargo and satellites into the stratosphere for fee-paying customers, but a partnership with NASA means the firm will soon start sending astronauts to the International Space Station.

Yesterday SpaceX released a report on their analysis of the '4/20' Anomaly that destroyed their Crew Dragon spacecraft during a ground tests. It was the result of oxidizer leaking into the wrong part of the plumbing and then being propelled through the system as fast as a bullet.
