This article explores the newly founded streaming platform, Maestro. Maestro offers its music clients monetization tools that enable them to sell tickets, merch, subscription events, and to give shout outs to fans who tip on the platform. I believe this could be a very interesting thing for the music industry. The website used is musicbussinessworldwide again. This website seems to be quite credible, though, it is not a major information platform for the industry.

This article is about a fairly new streaming company which allows independent artists to not only stream their music but also to sell merch and tickets to their performances as well. Billie Ellish's used this service for her 'Where Do We Go? Livestream' in October of last year, she sold tickets for $30 each. I think this service is great for up and coming artists, it gives them the opportunity to have a shop for everything they need all in one place. I especially like the options for artists to host their own live events. It really helps put the artist in control of their career.
This article does follow the currency portion of the source guide, stating that if an article is old and outdated you should be skeptical about its reliability. This article here was written on March 02, 2021 which is a little less than a month since then I'm writing this. Also, another key thing is you 'can't tell' who necessarily wrote the post, meaning that the article shows no bias.
This is the same website as the previous article and there isn't too many shares either on this article. But just as the last one it was a very easy read that allowed you to really understand what was going on.
There isn't a motive of making the reader choose a side in this article but if I had to come up with sides I would say that looking from the artist's perspective with Maestro joining Sony that helped increase exposure and also I'm sure of new features within the streaming service. On the other end, joining with Sony could have taken away a lot of ownership that Maestro leaders that may have still wanted that control.

This is a great way to get more people and bands into playing and watching shows from the safety of their home and keep the bands, crew, production team safe during COVID. This service could help save the music industry.
