I LOVE that there's a consonant that can be interpreted as "r" or "d", or even "t", depending on which language you're coming from. Phonology is so cool :)

It was definitely very difficult! We both wanted names that would sound good in English (we do live in Canada) my hubby wanted names that sound good in French, and me in Polish. During my first pregnancy [with Lilianne], I have let my hubby win (I wanted Lilianna) but I decided it’s just one letter of a difference, so it’s ok. But then during my second pregnancy it was more difficult: he liked Rosalie and I loved Melania. In the end our middle ground turned out to be Mila-Rose.
