We’re getting towards the end of this highly eventful month (at least for the Name Warehouse), and you know what that means! It’s time to take a look at some celebrity baby names, or celebaby names, as I do every month. My take on the most unusual of the bunch, most commonplace of the April batch, how well sibsets blend together with their new addition(s), as well as my guesses for the names expecting celebrities will be bestowing upon their little ones in upcoming months are all included, and I

Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, share three photos of her family and her son’s name: August Philip Hawke Brooksbank. Such a strong name!
In her Instagram Stories, Eugenie disclosed more information on how she chose her son’s names: “On his grandfather’s birthday weekend, thinking of my grandfather, we are introducing our little boy. He is named after his great grandfather and both of his great x5 grandfathers.” Eugenie is, of course, referring to her grandfather Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The name August comes from Queen Victoria’s consort Prince Albert, who had Augustus as a middle name. Hawke is likely a family name of Jack’s, though no details have been confirmed on this yet.

Celebabies, or babies born to parents in the spotlight, have a lot of power over the name community. They can spark outrages over some strange choices like Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson or Apple, plant names ready to take off in parents’ brains, starting roaring trends, or add to the pool of

Then, I take some expecting celebs and predict the names which they’ll choose for their little ones o

Welcome back to the Name Warehouse, dear readers, and happy happy Friday! Today, we’re talking celebabies once more. Celebaby names are wonderful indicators of real life naming trends, lovely windows into what parents are naming their children if you aren’t in a window of life where plenty of people around you are expanding their families, and, of course, just plain fun! That’s why I take a look at four new celebaby names every month and predict a couple potential celebrity choices for expectin

Mandy and Taylor named their firstborn son “August,” an English name that means “Great” or “To Increase.” In her post, Mandy went into detail into why they chose this name. “It was last August when @taylordawesgoldsmith and I found out we were having a boy (it’s also Taylor’s birth month) and we always loved the name… so it was settled very early on in our book.”
The image Mandy used was of a blanket that had August’s name written on it. Turns out, the blanket was a sentimental gift. “For our anniversary in November, T gifted me with this blanket with the “A” (for Amanda) made from extra material from my wedding dress and “T” (for Taylor) from his wedding shirt. Felt like a very fitting amalgamation of our whole story. I can’t wait to pass this on to our sweet August one day.” Such a precious and meaningful gift to pass on to their son!
In August’s birth announcement, the This Is Us star referred to her son as “Gus,”
