This was another name I heard in the new My Little Pony movie. I thought it was super cute. Though when I first heard them say it I thought they said Zanata which is cute even spelled with an X. So am adding both names in the title since they are so similar. But the real name in the movie is Sonata & isn't that adorable?

Irgendwann war Zuleyka sich sicher: Ich brauche einen neuen Namen. Sie suchte sich einen neuen Rufnamen aus und degradierte Zuleyka zum stummen Zweitnamen.

An interview with a lady who started life as Zuleyka. She liked her unusual name growing up in Germany, but as she got older it started to grate on her: both that it was so rare, and that she thought it didn't suit her fair-haired appearance. After she got married, she changed her name to Sonja, which is common in her age group, and hadn't looked back.
