Strangely enough, being tech savvy has not translated into effective communication skills. E-Mails are just another form of letters thus like all effective formal letters, E-Mails too need to have an effective subject line. It is not surprising that in today's hectic times, people scarcely move beyond the statement of the subject. The subject line is perhaps the most important part of the E-Mail because it is a window into the letter/ e-mail.
