A Twitter spokesperson confirmed the company is creating new, algorithmically curated timelines of news tweets and promoting them at the top of users' feeds in a test.

Twitter a annoncé un test pour transformer sa timeline, afin de mettre en avant les informations importantes grâce à un nouvel algorithme. Le vice président de Twitter, Keith Coleman a déclaré que “les gens vont sur Twitter pour voir et parler de ce qui se passe dans le monde”. Avec cette extension de la fonctionnalité Happening Now, Twitter souhaite faciliter l’accès aux informations importantes et pertinentes. Pour le moment, la plateforme utilise des curateurs humains mais souhaite à terme que ses algorithmes puissent s’occuper du tri sans intervention humaine.
