An experienced Flow Cytometry Specialist is required to manage a comprehensive multi-user flow cytometry facility in the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine (SCRM) in Edinburgh. The facility currently has three cell sorters, a FACS Aria II, a FACS Jazz and a legacy MoFlo and two analysers, an LSR Fortessa and a FACS Calibur. This is a busy facility with expansion likely. You will supervise one technician and be expected to meet with researchers to discuss their needs and to teach flow cytometry both in the lab and at a more formal level in the classroom. You should have a PhD and/or extensive experience of multicolour flow cytometry and cell sorting and have experience running a multi-user flow core. You should be familiar with applications of flow cytometry used in biological research and high end flow cytometry equipment and analysis software. Post is full-time and open-ended.
