Just as the Industrial Revolution in the 19th century drove an expansion of access to education, today’s technological revolution should drive further expansion to ensure universal, high-quality, affordable access to education from early childhood to retirement and to ensure that curricula include the DELTAs that will future-proof citizens’ skills in the world of work.

¿Preparados para lo que viene? En 2020, casi la mitad de los profesionales serán "Knowmads", "nómadas del conocimiento", personas creativas, que con independencia de su formación de base, estarán siempre con las antenas desplegadas en busca de ideas innovadoras, abiertas a explorar nuevos conocimientos, amantes del trabajo colaborativo, promotores de estructuras informales y con capacidad de establecer sinergias, dentro y fuera de sus empresas.

The workplace is going to look drastically different ten years from now. The coming of the Second Machine Age is quickly bringing massive changes along with it. Manual jobs, such as lorry driving or house building are being replaced by robotic automation, and accountants, lawyers, doctors and financial advisers are being supplemented and replaced by high level artificial intelligence (AI) systems.
