A group of pupils have launched a new card game to help people learn Luxembourgish.

The nine pupils, aged 17 and 18, from the Lycée Classique de Diekirch came up with the idea of creating a game - called Lët'z Play - as part of a competition for young entrepreneurs.

After starting to work on the project in September last year the first game went on sale in March and they have already sold around 900 copies.

Pitt Schneider, an economic science teacher at the school who overlooked the project, said: "The pupils came up with the idea and they did everything from A to Z. They wanted to do something for Luxembourg to promote the society and one of them had the idea of focusing on the language under some form of a game.
