We are happy to announce that we will be organizing the first  "Girls in ICT day" in Luxembourg  with the support of several of our partners, at Lycée des Arts et Métiers. On April 26th afternoon, we will offer workshops for girls (in lycées) curious about new technologies: cybersecurity, robotics, 3D printing ... with the support of Fonds National de la Recherche.

WIDE Startup-Programm vorgestellt:
Women in Digital Empowerment (WIDE) hat am Freitag sein Programm für Startup-Gründerinnen im Technologie-Bereich vorgestellt. Das so genannte „Startup Leadership“-Programm will in diesem Jahr zehn Frauen die Möglichkeit geben, sich im digitalen Bereich selbständig zu machen.

Es wird von der Europäischen Kommission unterstützt. Darüber hinaus sind auch das Wirtschaftsministerium und private Unternehmen Partner. Angesprochen sind Frauen, die Englisch oder Französisch sprechen, eine Idee für eine Gründung oder ein Produkt haben und sich bislang nicht recht trauten. Sie erhalten Zugang zum Netzwerk, Beratung und nehmen an gemeinschaftlichen Aktivitäten teil.

Women in Digital Initiatives Luxembourg Asbl is a non profit organisation initiated in Luxembourg in 2013 and officially founded in 2014 currently acting as WIDE (Women in Digital Empowerment)

WIDE vision:

To empower women with and thanks to digital. To increase the number of women seizing the opportunities in the digital economy and society.

WIDE mission:

To offer practical support and activities to include more women and men in the field of digital. To contribute to build a more diverse workforce and a wider ICT talent pipeline for Luxembourg.
