The licensing for FileMaker got more complicated over the years.
How easy was it 10 years ago when you got a few boxes from shop for Pro and Server and just used the license keys inside. Well, that time passed and now you have to ask questions:

Si une chose est certaine, c’est que la simplicité d’utilisation des produits FileMaker ne se retrouve pas dans la grille tarifaire !

Pour quatre produits dont un gratuit, on avait déjà plusieurs centaines de référence.

Avec FileMaker 15, tout est plus simple : on a ajouté quelques pages !

Plus sérieusement, bien que le but soit de simplifier et de rendre plus lisible pour des nouveaux utilisateurs, il faut admettre que cette évolution n’est pas toujours facile à comprendre pour les clients existants, voire pour les revendeurs.

User Connection Licenses for FileMaker Pro clients

FileMaker Server 15 now supports User Connections Licenses for FileMaker Pro clients, in addition to connections for FileMaker Go and FileMaker WebDirect clients.

When a user is connected using a User Connections License with FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Go, or FileMaker WebDirect each client is counted as a separate connection even if the same account is used to log in.

If accessing multiple files from multiple instances of FileMaker Server 15, a User Connections License of FileMaker Pro consumes a connection on every FileMaker Server 15 instance that it has a database opened from.
