Learning Claris FileMaker

Photo Library database built using FileMaker Pro, hosted by FileMaker Server 14 on a low spec Mac mini and being accessed remotely using FileMaker Pro, WebDirect and FileMaker Go on iPhone and iPad.

Demonstrates use of Web Viewers in layouts to display thumbnails which are downloaded from Amazon S3 so performance is very good...

Database currently has 14,000 images in it and all automatically keywords within FileMaker Pro using clarifai.com AI neural network image content recognition, in addition to more specific keywords manually entered over time.

The Web Viewers on the layouts happily and very quickly display about 1,000 thumbnails when using broad search criteria..

Can display more, but download time increases a bit, so have limited results to 1000 images.

What this video doesn't show is that in FileMaker Pro and WebDirect, the window can be resized and the thumbnails reflow into new position as you resize... very nice :-)
