Learn how to use the FileMaker Location and Location Values functions in FileMaker Go to record and track GPS data for time reports, audits, etc. It really is all about location, location, location. FileMaker Go makes it possible for us to collect and share longitude and latitude coordinates with the Location and Location Values functions. They’ve been around for a while but are worth a second look these days as we find more and more uses for FileMaker Go and GPS data in the workplace.

The location functions in FileMaker Go can tell you where you are, but you need these techniques for FileMaker to get directions to get where you're going.
I've describe in the last post how to calculate geographic distances between two locations.
That’s fine for knowing how close you are to something, but it’s only half of the picture for knowing your relative location.

Only knowing your current latitude and longitude doesn’t accomplish much for you if you don’t also know where other points of interest are.
