Get Started Localizing Your FileMaker Solution
We live in an ever-increasingly connected world. Some of our clients have turned to us to help localize their databases — that is, to translate and adjust their FileMaker solutions for users in different languages and, often, countries.
There are good and bad strategies to localization — for example, you wouldn’t want to simply duplicate your file and change all its layout objects — you’ll end up with two databases. Likewise creating separate layouts can be problematic as well — you need then to maintain both sets of layouts in parallel, effectively doubling future development efforts.

Soliant’s Mike Duncan explores one of the techniques we use for localization and has created a detailed sample file as well.
