FMoT: The FileMaker of Things

Many of the web-themed sessions from FileMaker DevCon 2016 are being posted on YouTube, including the session I presented on connecting your FileMaker solution to the Internet of Things (IoT).

It was fun session – we connected our FileMaker file to

  • Amazon Echo (“Alexa, Trigger a New Record in FileMaker“),
  • a HomeBoy security camera – grab snapshots and videos automatically or on demand and insert them into FileMaker, and
  • OrbNext, a really cool light that changes colors depending on what was happening in our FileMaker solution.
