The Shingo name has over 100 years’ experience with Toyota; most recently Ritsuo Shingo, who has recently retired from Toyota. You could say this is the old guard. Toyota has most recently taken a liking to Scrum, and the Scrum Coach for Toyota at ground zero is Nigel Thurlow…the new guard.
Our featured speaker, Ritsuo Shingo is president of the Institute of Management Improvement and senior advisor to the Lean Leadership Institute. Ritsuo incorporates many of his father’s teachings (Dr. Shigeo Shingo), into his own, and following in his father’s footsteps, has had a very successful career with Toyota.
Nigel Thurlow has over 25 years of experience in Lean implementation and process improvement, has trained Toyota in Scrum, and will lead the Scrum Master training at the summit.
