And now comes the paradigm shift in jet propulsion .....speeds of 7 times the fastest jet engine paradigm which, in turn, reduces flight time for planes and passengers. And, obviously, for military transportantion, too. JB

Yale scientists have created a new type of silicon laser that uses sound waves to amplify light. The laser design corrals amplified light within a racetrack shape — trapping it in circular motion. Via Joel Barker
