Getting started with Spark is easy for users of all ages. This is one reason that I love sharing with teachers and students. When I lead a professional development session or visit a classroom, everyone can jump in and create a dynamic, visually stunning artifacts of their learning.

So if Spark is entirely new to you, it won’t take long for you to dive into this user-friendly tool with your students! You can turn students into movie-makers, website creators, and graphic designers with the Spark tools. From book trailers in the English Language Arts classroom to lab reports in the science classroom, the possibilities are endless!

Earlier this year at the BETT Show Adobe announced that they would launching a new version of Adobe Spark designed specifically for school use. That new version is finally here. Earlier today Adobe launched Spark for Education.

Spark for Education is a free service that Adobe has launched to address the concerns that schools have had about Spark since it's launch a few years ago. The biggest of those concerns being use by students under the age of 13. Spark for Education is designed for school-wide deployment (much like G Suite for Education) in a manner that is COPPA compliant. The school will be able to manage student and teacher use of Spark including access to the service itself. Additionally, Spark for Education will provide students and teachers with free access to all of premium features of Adobe Spark.

Creation in the classroom is essential at every age. All students have stories to tell about their learning, and I’m so excited that the Adobe Spark creation tools are now available for students under 13 years old. From math and science to reading and writing activities, there are lots of ways for students to create a movie, website or graphic that captures and celebrates their learning.
