Tesla have opened a gigafactory in Berlin, the biggest investment in a German car plant in recent history, and with the capacity to have a sizeable regional multiplier.
Additionally, it will give Tesla greater access to Europe's largest car market, Germany, although I suspect that German consumers have considerable brand loyalty to domestically-produced vehicles.
