It's just worth noting this story, that's somewhat hidden on the BBC website, with China taking the next steps in a the market for computer chips, in deciding to restrict exports of gallium and germanium. Their reasoning appears to be that until the West restarts exporting computer chips to China, they will restrict access to the factor inputs required to make them.Â
