Kenya has got the green light from the IMF for it's coronavirus rescue package, getting a $407m loan at below market rates. The programme focuses on speeding up the vaccine programme, reducing debt vulnerability, improving oversight and management of SOEs and enhancing its anti-corruption programme - although the latter is easier said than done.
All of which are, clearly, good for its short-term development prospects.
