This article shows three of the thinking that a person can developed based on the models provided on his or her environments. First, it explains what CONVERGENT THINKING IS; it is also called lineal and vertical thinking. This, because it is about having a student or person coming up with a logical, premeditated and expected answer, it is not a process that requires creativity and reflection, but memory. Secondly, it shows DIVERGENT THINKING, meaning the process that requires creativity, it is to say that based on a situation that may be called problem statement, the person or student are required to provide a set of creative possibilities. Ultimately, this article presents what is known as LATERAL THINKING, it is also known as thinking out of the box; to meet this thinking it is important to use both of the processes mentioned above.
