CNN PRODUCER NOTE Cheryl Ferguson, of Urbino, Italy, shared these pictures to show the world that there is more to Italy than Rome. 'Yes, it snowed in Rome and they are not used to it. But, we are entombed in snow and in a state of emergency,' she says. Ferguson and her boyfriend were trapped in their house and could not get out until they called a private plower, but nevertheless considers herself fortunate. 'We are lucky to still have electricity, water, gas, etc. even though the lights have gone out and come back at least 20 times since the 31st of January,' she says. The consistent snowfall has resulted in a height of 1.5 meters of snow - shoulder level for 5-foot-7-inch Ferguson. 'I heard this afternoon that they are calling for at least another three days of snow, with some very heavy snow tomorrow,' she says...
